5LOVE IT!
By Danae
I love this sewing machine! It replaced a singer that I bought and hated. This is so easy to use, has so many options and looks fantastic! It is also relatively light weight which is nice for me (live in an apt) and have to move it around a lot. Does amazing work - would buy a brother again for sure!

5Excellent Machine
By EllB
What I love most about this machine are its built-in failsafes. If the thread is messing up or the bobbin thread is somehow out of position, etc. then I will get an error. now, a lot of the time the error is generic and I still have to go fishing around for what happened, but nonetheless, i like the feature. i think it has saved me a lot of broken needles.
I love the greater range of decorative stitches and the ability to adjust width and length exactly on the screen, which my mechanical Brother naturally lacks. It is a pleasure to sew with this machine.
That said, it is not the perfect machine. The thread tension, as with my other non-computerized Brother, loosens after a while, and both machines have a tendency for the upper thread to become dislodged and need to be threaded again without warning, especially at higher sewing speeds.
Overall, though, this machine is great for sewing, and I love using it. I would recommend this for beginners on up,but if yo u have a lot of projects, tend to sew very quickly, or deal with heavier fabrics, a more powerful and reliable machine would be better.

5So far, so good
By J. Bishop
I got a great deal on this, making it no more expensive than some of the lesser "entry level" machines. Hard to complain, as long as it lasts for a while. It will be used only infrequently, so my use may not be typical. I'll admit, I was a bit surprised how plasticky these new machines are. Seems almost toy-like. Totally a different beast from my grandmother's old Kenmore machine of 40+ years ago! You could have used that thing as an anvil.
