5Sturdy machine, even for its small size
By MG
I found this machine on sale almost 3 years ago. I bought it thinking that it was a good "temporary solution" while a get a little more money for a "good machine". Well, I still have it and it has given me absolutely no trouble at all. I've used it for light projects, heavy fabrics, large stuff... and all sorts of sewing possibilities with no problems at all. Not even a broken needle. No issues with the bobbin or the tension mechanism whatsoever. Since it is small and light I store it in the bottom drawer of my desk and fits perfectly (along with the pedal, a dremel, a drawing tablet and a small iPod deck that I don't use much). Believe me, it is not a particularly large drawer, but the machine is small enough to fit with there with other stuff. So far, this "temporary solution" turned into my "good machine". I am very happy with my purchase and have nothing negative to say about this lightweight but sturdy machine.

5Great little machine that can really take a beating
By M. Andersen
My mother has had this machine for years but never took it out of the box. When I came to visit in January I wanted to sew a couple things for my children, and she pulled it out for me. I was worried about how I'd take to a new machine but I fell in love with it instantly. It sews quieter than my other two machines and puts up with my ignorance regarding some things (I'm a self-taught seamstress who still has a lot to learn). When I was back again to visit in July she pulled it out for me a second time, and I spent a lot of time sewing on it, so much that my aunt bought me one of my own, for my birthday. As little and inexpensive as it is, you'd expect it to not do as good of a job, but it really works beautifully. Shop around for the best price, right now there's another store (starts with a W and ends with an "almart") that has it for $20 cheaper.

5Best Little Machine
By Mango
I've had my Mini Ultra for 9 years now, and over those 9 years I have asked it to do a lot. I've sewn through things I probably shouldn't have, like layers of like upholstery vinyl, with very little complaining from this machine. I sew costumes for competition, and this little machine has brought me victory time and time again. It only has a few stitches, but it has all the ones you need to complete most projects. Now, after 9 years, the bobbin winder has started to give out. After all the abuse I've given this machine I'm surprised it's held up so well. You can't get a better little machine, it's the perfect sewing companion, great for beginners or anyone who needs something compact. I feel incredibly sad to say goodbye to my old friend, but for $99 I got nearly a decade of fantastic work out of it. And it's just so darn cute! I highly recommend this product.
